Demo Release + Devlog 11

The demo is finally released! It's only about 20-30 minutes worth of gameplay, but that's just to set up the upcoming storyline and get the main plot rolling! The demo is very tame, most if not all of the trigger warnings do not apply (except obsessions/obsessive thoughts) so there isn't much to worry about. Hopefully you love it as much as I do!

Now, going on from that! What now?

I'll slowly be going chapter by chapter implementing all the remaining artwork, music, sprites, sfx, and adjusting any dialogue or code that I think is out of date or I personally find uninteresting. (Because If *I* think it's boring, you most definitely will, too.) I'll be sure to post a new devlog every chapter that's finished, but I won't be releasing the game chapter by chapter since chapters vary in length and average only about 20 minutes long. If there *is* to be another big release before the whole game, it likely would be all of act 1 together, since it's written linearly and would be easy to go off from when releasing act 2/the full game.

Anyhow, here's what I've got left to do in chapter 1:

Sprite expressions: 5/12

Sprite bases: 0/3

CGs: 1/5

Backgrounds: 0/2

The good thing is the further I get into the game, the less I'll need to do since I'll eventually have all the sprites and backgrounds needed already. Chapter 1 is a smaller chapter setting up more of the world around the characters, mostly about Saber, his home life, hinting at his past greviences, etc. Shouldn't take too long, hopefully.

Anyway, some closing thoughts and info that you might find interesting: there are 5 chapters in act 1, and just over 4k lines of code. The demo alone takes up about 600 lines, chapter 1 is only 400. Here's to working more consistently on the game!
